While the PPSS representatives have been told to wait for another round of meeting with Cuttack RDC and local MP appealed the government to hold on survey works; today (2nd June, 2010) morning the administration/forest department people/POSCO contractors along with 400 police force started survey in Nuagan gram panchayat forcibly. The villagers protested it. As a result, the Police have beaten people including women, children mercilessly and seriously injured 6 people .They also arrested two villagers. The government is mobilising more forces. The resistance is going on.The villagers are under the threat of more attacks from Police. Somanth Samal & Ajay Kumar Swain from Nuagon are the Villages now under arrest
